The name is inspired by a London postcode (Wimbledon, if you’re interested) and the interior takes its cues from London too, a retro 60s London, all op art and Mary Quant. Owned by a Londoner, SW20 is one of Oslo’s most distinctive bars. There’s a stylish lounge area with photos of John Lennon on the bare brick walls, polished black floorboards and some serious cocktail-making skill behind the bar. Here you can sip a daiquiri or an exemplary whiskey sour while thumbing a Harry Palmer novel before moving on to the dining area which has booths decked out in Austin Powers-style crushed velvet and superbly suburban net curtains at the window. So what are you waiting for? Don your Michael Caine specs or your Twiggy minidress (or both if you like) and get down there.
