The bar is light and bright and accented by blues and yellows. The vibe is relaxed and casual, with lots of comfy bar stools and communal tables that just invite you to spend a chilled evening in good company.
Couples and groups of friends are settling into after work mode on a sunny evening and the dining counter by the open kitchen is filling up with people hungry for sharing plates. Baskets of citrus lie along the bar, a little hint at the Mediterranean inspiration behind everything they do – if you had doubts about the theme then the cocktail menu will clear that up right away! It’s short but sweet and packed with unusual flavours like verbena, sage, rhubarb and jasmine. The knockout drink was the Alhambra, a summery spritz for grownups with rose, incense and cava. Yes please.
Don’t stop at cocktails though, the little dishes menu is the perfect accomplice for a soirée among friends. Choose from croquetas and tapenades to a mezze board with breads. The best thing though? An evening here definitely won’t break the bank, so pull up a seat and while away the hours.
Bonhomie follows in the wake of its fashionable Parisian sisters Little Red Door and Lulu White, but has a friendly charm about it, little wonder it’s a popular hotspot in the Château d’Eau neighbourhood. Bonhomie translates to cheerfulness and warmth, and this is exactly what this bar is all about. Let the good times roll.
