Upper Crèmerie is a cafe-cum-cocktail bar that, despite displaying all of the classic conventional Parisian elements – a lively pavement terrace and a sought-after address close to the Champs-Élysées – is anything but traditional. Glowing neon signage, velvet lounge chairs and curved high-top counters complete with acrylic stools all accentuate the bar’s quirky modern roots while the outdoor terrace is filled day and night with visitors looking for refreshment and local office workers looking for a post-work sundowner. Drinks at Upper Crèmerie are all reasonably-priced, despite the bar’s high class location, and include a bevvy of classic cocktails such as mojitos, martinis, spritzes and cosmopolitans, usually served with a twist – the Malibu Spiced is one such example, served with spiced rum, lime, vanilla and cane sugar. A good selection of wine, spirits and champagne are the perfect accompaniment to a sunny day on the terrace while watching the everyday hustle and bustle of the local neighborhood. The bar gets busiest from 7pm onward and is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and spend the evening catching up with friends old or new. The food menu at Upper Crèmerie includes French classics such as tartare of beef or tuna, while the hearty burgers, golden fried appetizers and gooey desserts put it squarely in the gastropub category.
