A fun and funky Korean food and cocktail joint in the heart of Paris, Hero is coming to the rescue of Parisians craving something deliciously different. Korean culinary delights are currently having a moment around the world, and Paris is not immune, as the opening of this three-level gem proves. Brought to fruition by an acclaimed Parisian food and drink team, Hero is a feast for the eyes before it becomes a feast for your taste buds. Rose-colored and light wood fixtures strike a fun and flirty tone at Hero, blending with the buzzing neon sign and cinder blocks adorned with potted plants perfectly. The first floor plays host to a small bar, and this is a perfect place to simply grab a drink if the libations are more your focus at Hero. The cocktails are a fun and on-trend collection of fruit-forward tipples with a tinge of Eastern flavor. Examples include the creamy Bubble Trouble – absinthe, ginseng-tinged rice liqueur, orgeat, almond milk and tapioca pearls – Thug Life – a frozen concoction of Soju rice liquor, mezcal, gin, ginger beer, yuzu, and cranberry, among others – and Nice Legs – Italian aperitif, prosecco, homemade lychee shrub, and a hint of rose. Of course, the cocktails are only half the fun at Hero as the menu is full of sticky-spicy South Korean specialities like extra crispy fried chicken, steamy pork buns, and kimchi mac’n’cheese. For the best of both worlds, you could always go for Hero’s YOLO option offered for parties of two: a bottle of Soju, a whole fried chicken, and a bottle of champagne.
