The first word that comes to mind when you enter the Hôtel Costes, located just around the corner from Paris’s iconic Place Vendôme, is sumptuous.

In keeping with the glitz of the Rue Saint Honoré, and all the establishments in the city’s 1st arrondissement, the lavish decor, with its satin wallpaper and gleaming gilt, calls to mind the glamour of a bygone era. That doesn’t mean the food and drink on offer is anything less than bang up to date – no detail has been overlooked in creating a fine dining experience that’s classic yet on trend. Everything has been carefully designed and selected, from the soft velvet furnishings to the hotel’s trademark scent. This is the perfect location to experience fine Parisian cuisine at its most decadent. However, there’s nothing stuffy about this venue – the bar at Hôtel Costes is stunningly chic and plays host to a lively and on-trend crowd.

The main restaurant is a palace of luxury, lavish but tasteful. If you’re keen on eating al fresco but don’t want to skimp on opulence, the courtyard terrace is ideal: graceful statues, verdant plants and subtle lighting carry you away to a magical new world.

The hotel’s bar is equally glamorous, liberally decked out with fine furnishings and lit by chandeliers. You’ll rub shoulders with hotel guests enjoying their time in the City of Light, as well as other travellers and Parisian fans of the hotel’s gorgeous aesthetic. DJ sets go on till two or three in the morning, spinning a range of eclectic tunes to keep you entertained as you imbibe a range of delicious cocktails, wines and beers. The drinks menu is as eclectic as the music, featuring the fine wines you’d expect from an upscale French hotel, along with expertly prepared cocktails.
