Hotel Amour
Paris-Opera and Les Halles
May 11, 2018
Love is in the air at the Hotel Amour. Well, love of a kind. This place has appeared on every hot list going since it opened in 2007. A pink neon sign beckons visitors through the slightly down-at-heel Pigalle streets and the rooms are all artist-designed, cheeky and quirky. The bustling bar and bistro has become just as popular with Parisians as with hotel guests; there’s a funky little courtyard space, retro furniture and better food than you’d credit from a place this self-consciously hip. The cocktails are real box-tickers too, especially the sweet signature drink. Service can be skittish but the atmosphere more than makes up for that, the latest wave of the Paris fashion pack partying like they mean business. Things don’t really kick off until after 11pm and the dress code is rather strict – leave your jeans at home.
