Ice Kube Bar
Paris-Opera and Les Halles
May 11, 2018
Providing a much needed hip, yet affordable, alternative to Paris’s palatial and imposing, grande dames, The Kube Rooms is one of the most exciting hotels to have opened in the city over the last few years. It’s a 41-room boutique style affair with decor not out of place in the Jetsons, simultaneously retro and modern, with white walls and glowing glass cubes, the odd splash of hot pink and fake fur. But for many the highlight will be the bar. The Ice Kube is, as the name suggests, yet another urban ice bar. While these places are no longer a novelty, it’s the only one of its kind in Paris and the ice theme feels in keeping with the hotel’s super cool aesthetic. A cover charge buys you entrance, as well as a winter parka, a pair of gloves and unlimited vodka. Though popular with a young, design-conscious, media crowd, the Kube will appeal to anyone with a sense of a fun.
