Paris-Opera and Les Halles

The Parisian venture from the team behind La Buvette in New York City sees them returning to their city of inspiration with a venue that merges rustic French charm with a hipper, more Williamsburg-esque aesthetic. Ticking the trendy location box, the new bar is based in SoPi and the interior boasts a pressed tin ceiling, artfully flaking paint, vintage furniture, bare brickwork and a cool marble bar littered with tasty things. The quirky cocktail list mixes classic French aperitifs with golden age American cocktails like the Negroni and the Manhattan. Their fusion tipple, the Paris-Manhattan, a warming blend of cognac and vermouth is a good place to start. You’ll also want to spend some time exploring the wine list. The nature of their license means that drinkers are required to order something small to eat, but this is no chore given their on-trend small plate menu, which features tartines and terrines and charcuterie. There are bowls of nuts on every table too. Given its general hipness, it’s pleasing to find prices which are cheaper than some other spots in this part of town and the relaxed, laid-back atmosphere is also deeply appealing.
