Paris-St Germain and the Latin Quarter
May 11, 2018
This teensy, wincey little Left Bank bar exudes an illicit glow. A little sign marks the entrance, but with its opaque windows it often looks closed and somewhat imposing, which is kind of the point. This is a popular late night spot that stays open long after other neighbourhood joints have shut their doors, it’s a secret people want kept. The bar itself, if you get in, has a compact den-like appeal. There’s an absolutely mammoth drinks list and the cocktails are heady, violent things, brain shakers to see you through until morning, which is good because the bar stays open until the first pale purple streaks of dawn can be glimpsed in the Paris sky and the elegantly disheveled crowd begin to contemplate the long stagger home.
