Six Senses Yao Noi covers a 24 acre site on a small island in Phang Nga Bay, famed for its natural beauty, especially the limestone mountains in the sea, which make for some amazing views from the resort. Like other Six Senses resorts, the design here follows the ethos of using natural materials and an innovative approach to create a luxurious setting surrounded by natural vegetation and tropical landscaping. The resort offers a number of pretty spectacular drinking and dining choices at its Main House, including a super chilled-out cocktail and snack bar, The Den. Covering two floors of the Main House, the mood here is about as mellow as it gets, with music to match. There’s lots of rough-hewn wood, sunken seating and huge daybeds suspended from the ceilings. Perfect for sitting back with a signature Mojito and drinking in the view – the bar is surrounded by water features, with Phang Nga Bay beyond. Or indulge in some gentle competition with a game or two of backgammon. Refreshing cocktails are a speciality at The Den, but the resort also boasts an exceptionally well-stocked international wine cellar if you’re after something a little more mature. And there’s a varied menu of light meals and snacks incorporating Thai, Japanese, Indian and Western cuisine.
