C-Bar

In most areas this is your standard neighbourhood bar, casual, chilled out and vaguely artsy, yet it’s elevated above the norm by its superb selection of sake. C-Bar stocks a huge range of the Japanese spirit and the bar tenders can really rock a sake cocktail. Their saketini is out of this world and the Pucker Fish, a mix of sake and cranberry is pretty cool too. Elsewhere the bar is less remarkable but no less fun. It’s moderately stylish with a large granite bar and smart bar stools; there’s local art on the walls, old school arcade games in the corner and a good range of Italian snacks on the menu. On Friday nights DJs spin hip-hop tracks and they have open mic nights too. All good stuff, but it’s those cocktails that seal the deal.
