Kask is a bar with considerable personality. It’s a quirky, idiosyncratic places, stuffed with trinkets and vintage implements, low-key and charming, with dinky chairs and little low tables, blackboards dotted around the place like a school room. Fittingly the bar serves slightly offbeat cocktails like the Mission Bell, a blend of Pueblo Viejo reposado, Combier kummel liqueur, lime, and agave syrup, and the Leather Canary, a mix of rye whiskey, Punt e Mes, Gran Classico, Combier pamplemousse, and a splash of Regan’s orange bitters. We particularly like the sound of the Prospector, a heady potion of brandy, Batavia Arrack, lemon, honey, sparkling wine, and cinnamon. Their seasonal Curried Daiquiri also sounds quite special and they also offer five-dollar glasses of their punch of the day as well as a range of tasty things to munch on, including plates of house-made charcuterie, smashed fingerling potatoes with their house ‘special’ sauce, and an epic bacon cheese burger on a potato bun with aioli and their house-made (of course) ketchup.
