As the first true sky bar in the city, Cloud 9 Sky Bar & Lounge has nothing to envy to its curb-sided counterparts, and a lot to teach them : swoon-worthy views, elegantly crafted cocktails and a chic lounge setting make for the perfect backdrop to any occasion.

Located at the top of the Hilton Prague, Cloud 9 is not for minimalists. Neon-pink chairs and funky lights make for a slightly futuristic look that will enchant fans of modern design. We suggest that you book in advance to secure one of the coveted tables on the terrace, or right behind the panoramic glass windows in the colder months.

While the view is certainly the reason why you came to Cloud 9, it won’t be the reason for your extended stay – the innovative cocktails will. The drinks menu is expansive but refined, and we were happily surprised by the quality of the craftsmanship.

Far from the traditional and rather conservative cocktail menus you’re used to finding at hotel rooftop bars, Cloud 9’s’ is filled with modernism and special gems. We tried – and loved – the Be Sea Tea, an ode to gin’s refinement with mango-jasmine tea-infused Beefeater 24, peach liqueur, elderflower liqueur, apple juice, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and lime foam. The result is a flavorful but not overbearing drink whose flavor profile sits on the delicate edge of sweet and zesty.

We also recommend you the Simia Sour cocktail, Andrea, the Cloud 9’s bartender won the EMEA Flavour & Flair competition with this cocktail.

Interesting ingredients and bitters paired with world-class alcohols make for a perfectly executed cocktail list that you will want to sample again and again. The small bites call for interesting flavor pairings as well: try the beetroot flavored salmon with quail egg and nori or their signature sweet potato fries to dip in their otherworldly truffle mayo.

During the weekend, the atmosphere is vibrant and fun: live DJs every Friday and Saturday night bring in a trendy crowd, making Cloud 9 a definite hotspot of Prague’s nightlife.
