The Landing Bar and Kitchen is a beautiful and unique boat bar on land. With a heart-warming back story of how the two owners came to build this magnificent bar. The Landing is definitely an awesome place to have a relaxed and enjoyable evening.
When owners Mark and Helena decided to pack up home in Switzerland and move out to build their dream in the Turks and Caicos Islands, they never imagined it would be such a huge success. The Landing bar is a restored boat, and features many little quirks, one being sofas next to a fire pit for the evenings! The rattan dining tables and chairs fit perfectly on top of the beach sand that covers The Landings floors, and beautiful fairly lights hang above you. Ordering from ‘My Super Lady’ (the boat) is pretty cool because they specialise in all our favourites such as martinis, mojitos, daiquiris and more. We recommend going for the ‘vesper’ which has taken inspiration from James Bond and is a ‘shaken not stirred’ vermouth and vodka. For something sweeter opt for the Pear Martini which has pear vodka, pear nectar and cinnamon.
Their happy hour runs from half five for an hour and they have special days such as ‘mahi mahi Monday, bubbles Thursday and rum and ribs Saturdays’. They have a lot of classic tapas food with worldwide inspiration, but we love the spicy shrimps with mango and fennel seeds. Their ‘crash landing’ burger is for those who really can’t decide, it’s a combination of everything tasty, house sausage, pulled pork ribs, pickles BBQ sauce and of course chips!
