It’s doubtful that there’s a city in the world where there isn’t at least one Cuban themed bar (does Havana itself count?) Riga is no exception and the red walls of the low-lit Café Cuba are adorned with photographs of Cuba and Castro, creating a little sliver of the Caribbean in the Baltics. Though they serve assorted nibbles, cocktails are the main pull and they serve plenty of fruity island drinks to a young lively crowd. The bar is friendly and intimate with a relaxed atmosphere and you can even shoot pool downstairs. It’s a popular spot and gets pretty rammed on weekends and on Tuesday salsa nights.
