Everything about Fellini, a superb Italian bar and restaurant just outside the centre of Riga, is clean and crisp and white. The space is incredibly elegant and airy and the Italian food is excellent, some of the best the city has to offer, particularly their seafood dishes. It helps, we guess, that the chef actually comes from Naples and knows a thing or two about homemade pasta and truffles. There’s also a pleasingly extensive wine list. Though it takes its name from one of the greats of European cinema, the décor doesn’t overdo the film theme, just a few photos dotted here and there on the walls understated and sophisticated just like everything else.
