One of the best and also the most popular bars in Rotterdam, this place is capable of getting seriously packed. It’s best visited on a warm summer night when the terrace outside fills with people sipping refreshing Dutch beer. The bar itself is relatively compact (hence its tendency to get rammed) with a big corner window and friendly service. Atmosphere is what counts here. It’s a lively, vibrant place that attracts a young, vaguely bohemian crowd and regularly reverberates with the sounds of people having a good time, the soundtrack of life being lived. They’re rightly known for playing decent music and this more than compensates for the lack of food options and the acceptable but not overly exciting selection of beers.
