San Francisco-Dubace Triangle

Rightly regarded as serving some of the best Bloody Marys in the city, Zeitgeist has a biker bar vibe, but it in realty it’s a pretty chilled out space with one of the better beer gardens in San Francisco. This is a bar with character. It’s been here forever and it shows. The interior has a well-loved roughness that comes with time and can’t be manufactured. The walls are scattered with old signs and shouty bumper stickers, the crowd is mixed in the best possible way. Beer is a very big deal here. They serve a huge array of beers on tap, over 40 in total, including many great California craft beers, like the Great White, a wheat beer from the Lost Coast company, Poppy Jasper, a gleaming amber ale from El Toro, and the wonderfully named Death and Taxes from the Moonlight Brewing Company. Grab a spot on one of the picnic tables and share a pitcher of something cool. Their house burgers are good beer fodder and if the tamale lady passes your way, be sure to flag her down. There’s a massive range of liquor to choose from and you’d be remiss not to order one of their acclaimed ‘Bloodys’, a vegetable packed dream of a drink which will chase away even the most merciless of hangovers. It’s easy to see why this place has something of a cult following.
