Quirky and colourful knickknacks decorate the walls of this popular venue known for its inventive Mexican small plates and wide range of agave. All the whatnots and dodads on the wall have been sourced from the Mission, a touch which we like. Here you can sip flights of tequila and mezcal, while munching on tasty crab tostadas. Agave-based cocktails include the Lorentia, a smoky blend of mezcal, orange liqueur, agave nectar, and citrus, served on the rocks, and the even smokier 1451 Stevenson Street, which mixes mezcal with pineapple, angostura, Liquid Smoke, and lime. The Lolo take on the Bloody Mary features tequila and clamato juice and the house Margarita mixes tequila with orange liqueur, agave nectar, and citrus. Chef Jorge Martínez’s creative menu includes BBQ Gorditas, a Mexican fondue, chipotle spiked shrimp, panko avocado tacos and grilled picanha. Their brunch dishes are all kinds of amazing, particularly their Mexican Eggs Benedict and the decadent croissant French toast, just crying out to be paired with one of their lunch time cocktails.
