Bullitt is a popular, lively, beer-and-burgers on tap kind of place on Polk Street. Inside it’s all dark wood and black leather, a masculine space with banquettes on one wall and a line of stools at the bar. They have a fantastic happy hour and they serve a great range of delicious guilty-pleasure food. Superb wings and wickedly good jalapeno poppers and tater tots. They also serve Totchos, a kind of nacho dish only made with the aforementioned tater tots instead of tortilla chips. They do a great line in house cocktails including The Hitman and The Steve McQueen (obvs), a bourbon and amaretto concoction. They do a classic Old Fashioned too.  There’s a range of beer by the bottle and can as well as Blue Moon and Guinness on draft. It gets rammed on weekends but is more chilled on weekdays. Their brunch dishes are also excellent – chicken and waffles, a massive breakfast burrito, feather-light lemon ricotta pancakes and the house Bullitt Benedict.
