Cafe Terminus
San Francisco-North Beach

Located near the Embarcadero, Café Terminus is a new all-day joint care of Dennis Leary and Eric Passetti, which serves breakfast, lunch, and small bites alongside a creative cocktail list. Their coffee is roasted in house and all their bread is baked fresh too. From the food menu, their Vietnamese Pulled Pork and devilled egg sandwiches are great lunch dishes, and they do a superior range of salads. The place itself is sleek, all white tile and warm wood, with a chalk-white concrete bar and pendant lamps. The drinks menu takes its cues from the railway termini of Paris and Rome and features plenty of absinthes, vermouths, pastis and amari. From the short list of cocktails try the refreshing Citizen’s Committee, a potent thing which mixes gin, pastis, and orgeat with muddled lemon and mint, while the Metro cocktail is a blend of rye whiskey, pastis, grenadine. There’s a rather limited wine list and a scattering of beers available, but the strength of this place lies in its eclectic range of sprits and aperitifs.
