This is the new permanent home of chef Ravi Kapur’s popular Hawaiian inspired pop-up. His food weds a farm-to-table ethos to Hawaiian dining without succumbing to the flower-bedecked clichés.

This is the new permanent home of chef Ravi Kapur’s popular Hawaiian inspired pop-up. His food weds a farm-to-table ethos to Hawaiian dining without succumbing to the flower-bedecked clichés. The room is light, airy and urban and the cocktails care of bar director Yanni Kehagiaras are similarly creative, this is not an identikit tiki temple, though his drinks do have tropical notes. The Surfer Rosa mixes hibiscus infused mescal with Punt e Mes, Benedictine, lemon, and soda water to refreshing effect. The Clifton Special blends Diep 9 Genever, Coconut Water, Coconut Syrup, and soda, while The Castaway is a kicky mix of manzanilla sherry, green chartreuse, and salted falernum, herbal and layered. On the food-front the Tuna Poke served on fried squares of nori is all kinds of amazing.  The roasted octopus also sounds excellent as does the short ribs with escargot and bone marrow.  You should also check out their list of draft beers, not least because it includes Points North aged black lager.
