Bathtub Gin & Co.
May 11, 2018
You’ll have to do a little searching to find this Seattle speakeasy, but nothing good comes without a struggle. As you walk down a grungy ally, thinking you cannot possibly be in the right place, you finally spot the marked door; success! Upon entering, you’ll find a small upstairs consisting mainly of the actual bar and about six barstools. A barely larger downstairs is cozy and all but guarantees you’ll get to know your drinking neighbors. Friendly bartenders will happily make you something from their seasonally changing menu that includes many house infusions and tinctures. Alternatively, you could ask for a ß-Dealer’s Choiceß- and let them get creative for you. With Prohibition long past, Bathtub Gin gives us a glimpse of a hidden speakeasy, its minuscule space only able to hold about 30 guests at any given time. It’s best to go early and leave your entourage at home.
