Mulleady’s has more going for it than your average Irish pub. Its food and cocktail programme is more ambitious and well worth exploring. The two-story neighborhood joint is relatively low-key, decked out with the usual Irish knickknacks, and boasting an inviting fireplace. But there’s an exciting emphasis on seasonal ingredient emphasized, with dishes like savoury rhubarb tart with goat cheese, roasted garlic, and pine nuts on the menu, grilled salmon with fiddleheads, that kind of thing alongside a few pub standards, like a Guinness beef pot pie, and a top notch house burger made with grass-fed beef, tomato jam, and caramelized onions. They do a nice line in local craft beers, including Fremont and Tricerahops, and also do spirit flights, including a Jameson’s flight, as well as cocktails like the One Pine Day, a herbal blend gin, lemon, rosemary syrup and pine, and the Crocus, a mix of gin, Aperol, apricot liqueur, and Peychauds bitters. Happy hour happens twice daily, with lots of wine and cocktail specials to tempt you.
