Rachel's Ginger Beer
May 11, 2018
Already well known for their high quality, hand-crafted ginger beer, available around town, Rachel’s now has a dedicated store at Pike Place Market where you can stock up on ginger fizz while also stopping by for a cocktail. The dual purpose space is sleek and modern, all glass and glint, with ample seating and a long central table topped with assorted greenery. Obviously this place is designed to showcase the ginger beer and all the various flavours including blood orange, apricot, and hibiscus – are offered by the glass or bottled to take home. If you fancy adding some booze to the mix, the house ginger beer is used as the base for a number of cocktails, which are served via tap. We particularly like the sound of the El Diablo which blends ginger beer with Cassis and tequila. The drinks are simple, foregrounding the ginger beer, perfect for sipping after a spot of shopping. If you fancy something a bit more elaborate, opt for one of their tasty milkshakes, or a float made with your favourite flavour of ginger beer they’ll add a slug of booze too if that’s the way you roll, the Dark and Stormy shake is all kinds of awesome. Rachel’s doesn’t serve food but the iconic views of the Puget Sound are more than adequate compensation and there’s the market to explore if you’re craving sustenance.
