This exciting new bar from the team behind Matt’s in the Market presses a lot of our buttons. Located just across from Matt’s, Radiator Whiskey is a handsome space: light and airy and full of reclaimed wood. Sun pours in through the skylight giving the place a pleasantly warm glow. The bar stocks a great selection of brown spirits and the cocktail menu is very of the moment, featuring a range of barrel-aged drinks including a gloriously smooth Sazerac – alongside some tempting house concoctions. The Showgirl is an elegant mix of bourbon, amaro and house-made rhubarb bitters and they do a gloriously fresh tasting Bourbon Margarita. Those less keen on whisky might want to try the Southbound, a refreshing blend of tequila, Aperol, rosemary syrup and grapefruit juice. Whisky flights are available if you want to expand your taste horizons. The kitchen, under the supervision of Chefs Tyler Palagi and Charles Garrison serves up fresh seafood and seasonal American fare Alaskan snow crabs, Canadian bacon corn chowder – and you can kick off your evening with a round of oysters coupled with a tumbler of the whisky of your choice. Their house branded whisky comes care of Seattle’s 2bar Spirits and serious whisky fiends should consider joining their in-house Flask Club which offers you a personalized flask filled with your choice of tipple which is then stored for you in a hollowed-out book.
