Teacher’s Lounge has been designed to evoke your childhood – it’s meant to remind you of your Schooldays. There are Cliffsnotes, LiteBrite, and educational posters on the wall, that kind of thing. The bar is also stocked with a great selection of spirits, something that would probably have been frowned on at school. The drinks menu features both original and classic tipples with each of the major flavor groups being represented; vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, scotch, brandy, and sparkling wine. The Heat Miser, a blend of brandy, chili liquor, vermouth, and bitters, is a zingy drink, while they also serve proper classics like the Corpse Reviver #1 and the El Diablo. There’s also a good range of craft beer and a small but decent wine list. Food is also nostalgia-laced, snacks like grilled PB&J made with housemade almond/peanut butter and jam with bacon on brioche, old school hot dogs, superior grilled cheese sandwiches served in a variety of forms with ham, tuna salad or chutney, with ice cream topped with breakfast cereal or a mound of cookie dough to follow if that’s how you roll.
