Shaker and Spear

You’d be hard-pressed to find a seafood restaurant that exuded more class with a stunning interior design than Shaker and Spear. Located within the Palladium Hotel in downtown Seattle, Shaker and Spear features funky geometric patterns of grey and black, juxtaposed with shining copper and warm woods. The walls are lined with curved leather benches and bottles of wine, sometimes flashing glimpses of the exposed brick underneath.
Being a seafood restaurant, Shaker and Spear’s obvious devotion is to all-things fishy, shelled or tentacled. The chefs here pride themselves on sourcing fresh, local ingredients where possible and it shows in delightful dishes like Rainier Beer steamed clams, diver scallops with sweet corn, succotash & tarragon, and sage Artic char with polenta. There’s also a few meaty menu items (burger, steak, lamb ragout), along with a few “comfort food” dishes such as mac & cheese and truffle fries.
The cocktail list at Shaker and Spear is small but full of flair – a couple of our inventive favorites include the Umm…Yeah (dark rum, mango, chilli syrup and lime) and the TPS Report (premium vodka, sake, lemon, green tea syrup, peach bitters and absinthe). There’s also a handful of classic concoctions (old fashioned, daiquiri, cosmo), along with an impressive wine list broken down by flavor palette to help you choose the best accompaniment for your meal (names like “rich reds”, “pretty and pink” and “high acid whites”).
