The Tin Table is a handsome hideaway upstairs in the Odd Fellows building, a low-lit, intimate space with the requisite exposed brick and a wall full of cool glassware. There have been some changes to the venue of later. They’ve recently acquired a new bar manager and, with him, a revamped cocktail list, as well as a tweaked food menu. The list features a number of twists on classic drinks, including a Pegu Spin made with strawberry-infused Oxley gin, Clement Creole shrub, and lime juice. The Kansas Beauty, a blend of Pisco, Cherry Heering, and Dow’s Tawny Port, also sounds appealing. We are also keen to try the Air Mail, a blend of rum with house-made honey, and lime juice, topped off with a good glug of bubbly. They also know a thing or two about fizz here, with a number of champagne flights on offer, and a wine list which features everything from domestic sparkling to top-end French bubbles. The wine list in general is well worth exploring as is the food menu. The house Floozy burger is made with Painted Hills beef and topped with caramelized onions, Bavarian bacon, and cheddar cheese on a brioche bun. They stock a good range of cheeses if you want something to pair with your drink and their happy hour deals are particularly generous.
