Cotton's
Shanghai-City-Center
May 11, 2018
Cotton’s is one of Shanghai’s stand-out nightspots, a great place for an after-work drink or some longer lingering with friends. The original Cotton’s closed a few years back but it soon reopened in new premises, better perhaps than before: a beautifully converted old house, an elegant and attractive space with stripped floorboards, and a wonderful garden (which is good news as the patio was the most popular part of Cotton’s last incarnation) for summer-time lounging. In the chilly Shanghai winter, crackling fires keep you warm – and the well-mixed drinks help out there too, try the Cotton Gin, a delicious mixture of gin, brandy, and fruit juices. Music is a fairly mainstream blend of pop and rock, but it seems to go down well with the young Shanghai crowd.
