A legendary music club in St. Petersburg, Russia, Liverpool has been a live music venue and a shrine to all things Beatles since 1997. Located in the center of this historic city full of graceful bridges, Liverpool is a place for locals to be taken away to another place listening to the sounds of live rock-‘n’-roll and for those craving a bit of home while travelling to get their fix. Approaching Liverpool from the outside, you may catch a glimpse of the authentic British black cab out front, and that gives you an indication right from the start that this isn’t going to be your typical Russian pub experience. Once inside, the sheer volume of Beatles memorabilia on the walls will drop your jaw. Pictures, records, and even figurines can be found, with each one seemingly attached to a fun story from the manager about how it was acquired. As long as we are talking about stories, if the walls of this pub could talk, they would have some rock-‘n’-roll tales to tell. Seemingly every seat in the bar is dedicated to a musician that sat there on their own personal visit. People like Ringo Star, Def Leppard, and Scorpions just to name a few.The staff is jovial to a fault and many speak English which makes it easy to order another drink in between music sets. Speaking of drinks, a whole line of cocktails is dedicated to – who else – the Beatles, with names like Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds and the Hippy Hippy Shake, while the rest of the menu is filled out with a high standard collection of liquors and beer from around the world.
