Jazz & Blues

Simultaneously contemporary yet classic in style, Tranan is something of a Stockholm institution a favourite with locals and visitors to the city alike. Housed in the basement of the exclusive restaurant of the same name, it’s a slightly less formal space than its sibling, more welcoming with a sleek, minimalist look that is given a shot of warmth by the cellar-like surroundings. Drinks are well made and there’s a wide wine-list, while later in the evening, the in-house DJ starts to spin; the music is fairly mainstream, but it clearly works for the mostly twenty-something crowd and the atmosphere is lively yet sophisticated – you can always abscond to the upstairs restaurant if you want to make the night really special.
