Located on West Circular Quay, Cruise is a busy yet relaxed bar and dining venue with some of the best views in Sydney, so if you want to kick back and enjoy staring in awe at Sydney Opera House, this is your ideal place. The interiors are pristine and cool (check out the amazing light wall), while the vibe is low-key and welcoming, classy without being stuffy or pretentious. It attracts a friendly, mixed crowd (and, should you meet the lover of your dreams here, they also do wedding packages though perhaps we’re getting ahead of ourselvesß-) Superbly located, it’s a great place to meet friends and a fantastic spot to hang out during the day; in the evening things get a bit livelier and the cocktail lounge comes into its own, especially at the weekends, where DJ sets liven up the proceedings. Enjoy one of the Bar’s signature cocktails or try some of the tasty Modern Australian cuisine on offer, which includes a nice selection of sharing plates if you’re feeling sociable. Hungrier sorts should try the Bourbon-cured Ocean Trout, the Kubota Pork Cutlet or, for the veggies among you, house made gnocci save some room for desserts, though, because the menu is imaginative and mouth-wateringly good (think honey and lavender crßme brulee or whisky chocolate fondant they even do a tasting plate to share if you just can’t make up your mind). There’s also street level seating outdoors for sunnier days or warm evenings. Furnishings are eclectic and distinctive, oh, and did we mention those views!
