Rambling Rascal’s Tavern is a neat dive style bar in Elizabeth street-Sydney. Their style is key to their buzzing atmosphere and they know how to mix good drinks!

Rambling Rascal’s isn’t your usual drinking scene. This modern dive style bar is a hub of fun energy and good times and of course tasty drinks!

The basement bar has some significantly cool features, from the classic chesterfield booths, which of course always give a homely feel, to beautiful timber furniture. The style of the bar reflects old England’s ‘mod’s and rockers’ era especially with images of Marylyn Monroe and Bettie Page plastered up over their fridge. The bar goes so far as to making their bathrooms fit in with the theme, having chalkboard walls for any inspirational thoughts that may pop into your head during the visit as well as our personal favourite touch- Jack Daniel bottle soap dispensers. Nice!

Now the actual bar may be filled with typical rock radio music during the day, but of a night is alive with dancing bodies to some old school classics. The menu for Rambling Rascals is painted up on the wall so even without a menu to hand you’ll be able to decide what you want to eat. We’ve been told that ‘Mary’s burger’ is the top choice.

Drink wise- this bar knows a lot about cognac and whiskey. They have stuck mainly with local producers for their wine and beer choice- which is nice to see too. Top tip: they serve up a mean Havana no.7.
