Sweethearts Rooftop BBQ

In the party district of Darlinghurst, Sweethearts Rooftop BBQ is a pleasant and exciting cave for everyone. Located above Sugar Mill Hotel in the famous King’s Cross precinct, the queue to get in tells us it’s obviously worth the wait. The hipster vibe radiates, with bright colourful fairy lights and picnic tables stretching along its length. The atmosphere is buzzing, away from those crowded streets down below. The rooftop is welcoming in the heat, with a cool breeze flowing through your hair as you sip the first taste of an ice cold cocktail. The bar has 5 wines on tap as well as 11 by the bottle. They also have some decent beers on hand and of course their speciality cocktails. Try Tommy’s #2 which contains Agave, lime juice & Agave nectar. There is also the amazing slushy mixtures. Yep, alcohol slushies! The apple cider slushy is a sure favourite with the flavour being strong but not overbearing – it’s definitely what you need after a long day. Their food menu is fairly basic but they have a good selection. We recommend you try the freshly grilled lamb rump, or the tender pork fillet to go nicely down after the apple slushy. One thing we would say, is book before you arrive. As a pretty awesome rooftop bar, it gets rather crowded and booking means that you can climb those flights of stairs knowing that there is a seat awaiting you at the top.
