The Argyle was already something of a Sydney institution, sitting at the heart of The Rocks’ nightlife scene. And now this much loved bar has joined forces with three other renowned venues housed within the same historic building – Saké Restaurant and Bar, The Cut Bar and Grill and the Ananas Bar and Brasserie to create a rebranded, multi-faceted space called the ArgyleXchange, a social hub and one-stop drinking and dining spot. Now your night can begin with a beer or a cocktail at the original Argyle before you move onwards and upwards to dinner at from the charcoal grill at The Cut, or some fresh seafood from the Mediterranean-inspired Ananas. You’d be remiss not to try their signature cocktail, the Absolutely Ananas (a vodka-based, pineapple garnished glass of deliciousness). Go back another night and you can have a completely different evening, starting with some sushi at Sake, a contemporary Japanese restaurant before heading back to Ananas, say, for a glass of champagne. So many choices, all under one roof. The various venues offer a $25 lunch deal which is a real steal and they also do an array of exciting happy hour offers. The Argyle itself remains the best spot to wrap up your night as it stays open the latest.
