The Bucket List

When a bar is described as “colourfully eclectic”, it can often strike fear into the heart of the most foolhardy of bar snobs, but nowhere is the phrase more apt, or more appealing, than at The Bucket List. Facing Bondi Beach, The Bucket List’s interior is filled from floor to ceiling with painted murals, multi-coloured fairy lights, bright cushions, stools and benches – even the coffee cups and plates are brightly coloured.
Yet the decor is just as engaging as the friendly wait staff and picture-postcard views.
Then there’s The Bucket List’s outdoor terrace, sunny and shaded in equal measure, and the perfect place from which to sample the venue’s seafood-heavy food menu (the list of fish tacos, fish pie, fish burger and fish & chips has us reminiscing about Bubba in Forrest Gump). As for the drinks (and that’s probably why you’re reading this), The Bucket List features a small but perfectly-formed selection of sparkling wines, whites, reds and roses (mainly from Italy and France), along with some humorously-named cocktails that are classic in persuasion.
The Get Jolly Rogered is a refreshing combination of gin, elderflower, cucumber and lemon topped with soda, the Shave The Hair Off The Dog is the name for the venue’s signature bloody mary, and the Jam Out With Jimi Hendrix is a twist on the classic pimm’s cup, including strawberry puree and ginger ale. Craft beer and wine round out the drinks selection to ensure that, sun-soaked day or fun-filled night, you’ll have the perfect tipple to accompany your mood.
