Inspired by a legendary Prohibition-era club in Sydney, The Roosevelt takes you back in time and serves you spectacular cocktails when you arrive.

Defined by its ornate French-style balcony, The Print Room sits atop The Village Inn, on the first floor of an attractive stone building in one of Sydney’s coolest suburbs. Often hired out for exclusive events and private parties, The Print Room is also a wine and cocktail bar, and the perfect place in which to enjoy a few relaxing after-work drinks with friends. Decor skews towards ‘upscale town house’, with the black leather Chesterfield-style sofas and glossy fireplace providing the focal point for the room, but special touches like the vintage typewriter and weighing scales allude to the venue’s theme. Then of course there’s the aforementioned balcony – perfect for people-watching the Paddington streets below. When it comes to drinks, The Print Room offers a small-but-perfectly-formed cocktail list including classics like negronis, manhattans and cosmopolitans, along with the house special – an Espresso Martini that includes vodka, cold-drip coffee and a touch of caramel liqueur. There’s also a couple of sparkling wines and champagnes, along with a wine list that plays heavily on Australasian vineyards. Draught and bottle beer selections change regularly, but the wide range of top-shelf spirits are a mainstay. If you’re a little hungry, The Print Room can whip you up a selection of nibbles, such as cauliflower fritters, calamari and a Three Cheese and Onion Bruschetta.
