This lively Cuban style bar and restaurant is like a shot of pure sunshine.

This lively Cuban style bar and restaurant is like a shot of pure sunshine. Boasting a wide, noisy patio area for warmer nights, a bustling, friendly dining room, and a busy bar at which you can perch, there are more stylish places around to be sure but few that are as much fun. It’s a great night spot, the music is loud, and they make an excellent, potent mojito as well as a Havana Old Fashioned, made with Havana Club 7yr, citrus, guava, agave nectar, and bitters. Sangria, available by the glass or pitcher, is also a good bet – we like the sound of the Blanco version studded with fresh strawberries. They have Parallel 49 an Steamworks craft ales on tap and a good selection by the bottle. The Cuban food also hits the spot. Small plates include chilli garlic prawns and pulled pork sliders. Their soft tacos are excellent and they serve fresh Pacific mussels by the pound.  Their rich, dark Carne Asada is a thing of meaty beauty and their Havana-style sloppy joe is wicked good too.
