With an international vibe and a friendly team of bar staff who really know their stuff when it comes to spirits, Gringo is a little haven in the heart of Vilnius. Although long and narrow, the bar is deceptively bigger inside than the exterior would have you believe. Cozy up next to new friends at the bar behind which lies seemingly thousands of bottles and a random collection of banknotes from around the world.
Gringo is first and foremost a rum bar, featuring a wide selection of premium bottles from estates around the world, which the bar staff can help you navigate if it’s your first foray into the realm of rum. If rum isn’t your thing, they also boast a wide range of whiskies and spirits (including a lesser-known Lithuanian herbal liqueur called Green Nines), a couple of British ciders and a surprisingly diverse selection of international beers (including, apparently, one of the best pours of Guinness in the country). Cocktails at Gringo are of the classic variety (mai tais, bloody marys, and, rather surprisingly, a lynchburg lemonade) and the selection of wines are only small, but really you don’t come here for a good red, but for a great night with good friends. Televised sports matches (international football and rugby are regular fixtures on the big screen) and live music add to the ambience of this little gem of a bar.
