Sprawling space on Wellington's Queen's Wharf, home to breathtaking views and several stylish bars, one of which is a hidden-away den of cocktail mastery.

In the beating heart of Wellington’s Queens Wharf, and located in the historic saloon-esque Greta Point Tavern building that was famously moved piece-by-piece by barge to its current locale, Foxglove Bar & Kitchen is hands down one of best places to go for cocktails in New Zealand’s capital. Home to multiple bars, each adorned with its own unique atmosphere, Foxglove is more like a bar complex, offering something for absolutely everyone. The list of bars at Foxglove reads like an adult fun house with names like The Lobby Bar, home to comfortable couches and chairs; The Games Room, trimmed with turquoise fittings and shelves full of board games; The Brass Bar, a fully stocked bar complete with classy copper fittings and green tiles; The Sitting Room, a cozy spot with a fireplace; and the hidden Foxtail Cocktail and Champagne Bar, where the serious mixology takes place. All this is to say nothing of the broad breezy deck which fills to the brim in nice weather. The house cocktails are constantly rotated, with one called the Raspberry Cooler, made with passionfruit vodka, cassis, lemon juice and sparkling lemonade, having been a wildly popular constant since opening. Once through the mysterious wardrobe entrance of the Foxtail Cocktail and Champagne Bar, things are taken up a notch with a nifty range of creative mixes like the Chilli Mint Daiquiri, Manuka Rum Smoked Old Fashioned, and Plum Margarita, just to name a few.
