Las Vegas

Vegas' nightlife is legenday with enough clubs, bars and cocktail lounges to ensure a night out here is unforgettable. But remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas which is probably a good thing as no city is quite so shamelessly dedicated to excess as this. The modern city was officially founded in 1905 but it was not until gambling became legal in 1931 that Vegas as we know it was really born.

Bars in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world

Las Vegas offers total hedonism when it comes to bars and nightlife. Alongside the famous casinos and hotels, you’ll find live music, stage shows and elaborate magic acts – as well as plenty of exciting places to enjoy a cocktail or two. Explore everything from the area known as Paradise (which is actually just south of the city itself) with the infamous Strip that tourists and locals hate to love to Downtown Vegas with its historic casinos and the famous 40-foot neon cowboy sign!
For a real taste of Paradise, begin your adventure at the Libertine Social on Mandalay Bay. Run by mixology legend Tony Abou-Ganim, the Libertine Social delivers next-level mixology with a Caribbean twist. The Sand Dollar Lounge, that legendary blues bar, is the ideal place to go if you want to hear some live music and drink in a little Las Vegas history. For a sophisticated night out, head to Vegas’s answer to China Town in the Asian District. In the past, it has been considered a strictly business domain, but recently slick little evening spot has been popping up, like the Mandarin Bar at the Mandarin Oriental. This cool, stylish establishment offers inventive cocktails in elegant surroundings – there’s even a mixology class if you’re so inclined. For a more down-to-earth experience, there’s Dino’s Lounge; billed as “The last neighbourhood bar in Las Vegas”, Dino’s offers solid entertainment including live music and karaoke. Fans of The Hangover will want to stop by the notorious Atomic Liquors on Fremont Street – it’s had a facelift since being featured in the film, and the patio is the perfect place to observe the Sin City nightlife at its wildest. Viva Las Vegas!
