With show-stopping views, friendly staff, hip crowds and stellar cocktails, these 3 special venues in Prague, Minsk and Belgrade really are the whole package.

Cloud 9 Sky Bar & Lounge, Prague

As the first true sky bar in the city, Cloud 9 Sky Bar & Lounge has nothing to envy to its curb-sided counterparts, and a lot to teach them : swoon-worthy views, elegantly crafted cocktails and a chic lounge setting make for the perfect backdrop to any occasion. Far from the traditional and rather conservative cocktail menus you’re used to finding at hotel rooftop bars, Cloud 9’s is filled with modernism and special gems. We tried – and loved – the Be Sea Tea, an ode to gin’s refinement with mango-jasmine tea-infused Beefeater 24, peach liqueur, elderflower liqueur, apple juice, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and lime foam. The result is a flavorful but not overbearing drink whose flavor profile sits on the delicate edge of sweet and zesty.

BAR:DOT XX1, Minsk

Go up to the 21st floor of the Minsk DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton and you will arrive in the vast and richly decorated BAR:DOT XX1. Dominating the entire city, the beautiful view is entertainment in itself, and you’ll have a hard time getting out of the comfortable pink couches to go grab a drink. We urge you to enjoy the experience, though, as the bar is one of the venue’s most impressive features. Incredibly long, you will stumble upon the most interesting assortment of people leaning on its counter, from cool locals to friendly travelers and nightlife-savvy businesspeople all looking for a good time in a chic and upscale setting. But enough about the decor, let’s talk about the menu. To help you navigate the exotic list of Pan-Asian flavors and mouthwatering bites, BAR:DOT XX1’s mixologists created unique cocktails to pair with each flavor profile. And if, after a few cocktails and a superb meal, you’re still in the mood for some fun, do not hesitate to book one of the cozy karaoke rooms at the back.

SkyLounge Belgrade

You will want to keep this stunning view of Belgrade for yourself, lest the best seats become hard to come by! As beautiful on the inside as on the outside, SkyLounge Belgrade has a sleek and minimalistic approach to design. Earth-toned chairs and carpets contrast with the more masculine steel and dark wood ceiling and bar. The general impression is one of warm, understated sophistication, making this the perfect spot to bring anyone from your prospective clients to your future in-laws. The outside terrace is cozy and can quickly get crowded at night so remember to book in advance. SkyLounge‘s true MVP isn’t the view, however, but the food and the impeccably crafted cocktails. Our personal favorite? The Mrs Juni, a well-crafted blend of Juni 93, Lillet blanc, grapefruit tea, rose water and simple syrup.
