Sometimes all you want at the end of a long day of visiting is to be able to kick back, have a cold one, and enjoy the game while making new friends.

If you happen to be in Lima, Peru, we’ve got you covered. Here is our breakdown of the 5 best sports bars in town.

The Corner Sports Bar & Grill

Ideally located in the heart of Miraflores, The Corner Bar has been around for many years and is a favorite among the city’s expats. A classic American sports bar lined with TV screens, it broadcasts all the best sporting events in the world, meaning the atmosphere is fun and lively on most nights.

Barranco Beer Company

Another typical American sports bar, with two stories that get packed whenever it’s game day, walls covered with large TVs, and a giant projection screen for the really big events. As the name would indicate, they also have some of the best beers in town, with options ranging from IPAs and lagers to ales, stouts, and porters, and delicious food to soak it all up.

Juanito’s

A local favorite in the Barranco area, Juanito’s used to be a top meeting place for socialists to have discussions over cocktails. Today, thanks to the addition of TVs, the classic neighborhood beer and sandwich shop is also a great option to catch the game in a lively atmosphere. Come early, though, as there are not that many seats.

Halftime

You’ll recognize the place by the giant mural of Peruvian soccer legend Paolo Guerrero outside. Inside, huge TVs and delicious burgers, wings and pizzas await. Also worth noting is the craft beer selection, which they brew themselves, and all the drinks named after famous sports figures. On top of soccer games, this is probably the best place in town to catch an MMA fight.

Bodega Piselli

Bodega Piselli is one of the most emblematic bars in town. With its old wooden floors, marble tabletops and dozens of bottles on display up to the ceiling, this is a place with soul. They have one TV in the main room for game nights, but even if you’re not coming here to watch a game, it’s still worth a visit for the classic experience and the delicious Pisco Sours — among the very best in town.
