Bars in Angel, north London

Lovely leafy Angel nightlife remains on trend despite perhaps not being the edgiest place to be (Shoreditch recently stole that title). If you are not sure what you want from your night out, head to the bars in Angel. The quantity of bars and pubs on offer means that you’ll surely find something suitable, whether it’s live music in a dimly lit speakeasy or a stunning bar and restaurant.

Why not start your night in a converted brothel? The Four Sisters bar is thankfully no longer a brothel, but it has candlelit corners and an amazing cocktail menu. The speakeasy style saw a resurgence in the last ten years, so there is no shortage of such dens and hideaways in Angel. The most famous is the bijou bar with no name also known as 69 Colebrooke Row. With their drinks menu cooked up by Tony Conigliaro, the cocktails are engineered dreams. Angel really does deliver.
