Bounce bar

Farringdon could be described as a grown-up Shoreditch due to its high number of trendy cafés, bars and restaurants. Its clientele, however, is predominantly city workers seeking a bit of an after-work release.

Bars in Farringdon

This centrally located London borough is quaintly divided into Farringdon Within and Farringdon Without, but once you’re there, you are unlikely to know or care. From 5:00 pm each week night, the area hums with workers seeking a swift one in a bar in Farringdon (although it is rarely a swift one that they’ll have). There are plenty of drinking spots to explore. For the up-all-nighters, the Farringdon nightlife scene is also home to Fabric, the revered and unfalteringly good club. Just go from there straight to work the next day; we’re sure no one will notice.

If solid drinking dens are what you like, Farringdon has them in spades. Treat yourself to an evening in Japan at 7 Tales, a bar attached to a Japanese restaurant, which encourages you to ‘drink sake, stay soba’. Or for the more energetic, there is the original Bounce bar, where you can play ping pong while enjoying a cocktail or two. Barsmith is the newbie on the block where they do things their way. With their own infused spirits and a unique cocktail menu, the booze definitely takes centre stage.
