Pasta, pizza, eggs, fries… you name it, truffles have the magical ability to elevate even the simplest of dishes to new heights.
It should come as no surprise, then, that their chocolaty, earthy, and nutty flavor can also be the perfect addition to some of your favorite cocktails.
Feeling fancy and adventurous? Give these a try!
Truffle Pear Martini
Combine 50ml truffle-infused vodka, 25ml pear nectar, 12ml pear brandy and a spritz of truffle essence in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well until cold and strain into a chilled martini glass.
To make your own truffle-infused vodka, simply add 30g of thinly sliced fresh black truffle to 330ml of good quality vodka in a sterilized glass bottle with a lid. Give it a gentle shake and let sit at room temperature for at least a week, turning the bottle around on occasion to mix.
Truffle Negroni
Combine 25ml truffle-infused gin, 25ml Campari and 25ml Carpano Antica Formula into a mixing glass with ice. Stir well and strain over two ice cubes in a double old fashioned glass rimmed with black truffle salt. Garnish with an orange twist and enjoy.
To make your own truffle-infused gin, use the same method as for the vodka in the recipe above.
Truffle Sour
Combine 50ml 12yo whiskey, 25ml fresh lemon juice, 20ml sugar syrup, 1 teaspoon of truffle oil and 1 egg white in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until cold and frothy, strain into a rocks glass over ice and enjoy.
