Bars in Midtown Manhattan

New York City

Midtown Manhattan

Midtown is known for its hustle and bustle, so having a roster of bars where you can find even a little bit of respite is important. Cocktail bars are Midtown’s speciality. But where should you begin?

Top bars in Midtown

Angel’s Share is a well-known haunt for any cocktail enthusiast- if you can find it that is. Tucked away behind an unmarked door in the Village Yokochi Japanese restaurant, this speakeasy brings you classic cocktails with an eastern twist. Their menu features such delights as the Speak Low, a rum cocktail with matcha powder, yuzu zest and a dash of sherry for good measure. The Keeper’s Lantern is arguably another one of the best bars in Midtown. Styled after a European salon from the 1920s and ’30s both in décor and menu, you won’t find any vodka cocktails here. Classic cocktails like the Sidecar and the Old Fashioned will be the order of the day.

Located just off Times Square, The Rum House in the Edison Hotel is an island of relative calm away from the busy city. As its name would suggest, the menu here is laden with rum cocktails. Sip at a daiquiri or a Dark & Stormy, or opt for one of their house specials. Whether you prefer hidden treasures or more accessible locations, Midtown has something for everyone!
